That’s Great! You’ve landed on my page.
That’s a sign you’re looking for high-quality sound from a film set.
My name is Krzysztof Bąk, and I’ve been working with sound my entire professional life — for over 20 years now. I began as a sound engineer at Polish Radio, where I first encountered Pro Tools & digital sound editing. That’s when I started experimenting with sound recording and what we now call sound design. Sound became my passion. Over the years, I’ve infused that passion with a business mindset, developing a way of working that bridges two worlds — the art of sound recording and editing, and a professional career.
I’m a graduate of the Faculty of Radio and Television at the University of Silesia, where I gained a deep understanding of both the artistic and technical aspects of film production. It didn’t take long for me to find common ground between my existing interests in sound recording and the new areas I was discovering.
That’s how my brand – dzwiekwfilmie.pl – was born.
You can hear the sound I’ve recorded on television, in cinemas, and online — in both small & large audiovisual productions. I especially love working on documentary sets because of their unique nature, purpose, and storytelling character.
I work as a freelance sound recordist.
I’ve worked on several continents, in many countries, and in all kinds of conditions — from extreme cold to scorching 40-degree heat. Always with complete professional success.
I’m a firm believer in involving the sound department as early as the pre-production stage.
Sometimes all it takes is a simple conversation — where I learn what’s happening in the frame, what the location looks like, how the camera moves, and what unexpected challenges might arise for the crew.
On some sets, distances play a critical role. Camera, lighting, and set design all require rehearsals — and sound is no exception. Pre-production gives us the chance to prepare the recording setup and avoid potential issues during the shoot itself.
I really appreciate when a film crew shows respect for sound on set and for the recording process as a whole.
Every crew member plays a role in achieving great sound. It’s not just about the sound recordist’s skills or the capabilities of the equipment — the overall quality of what ends up in post depends on teamwork. Discipline is fundamental.

I use the best sound recording equipment in the world — and I say that with full confidence: the best. I add extensive experience & expertise in sound engineering and post-production. I understand the entire process that sound goes through before it reaches the cinema or television, which allows me to perfectly match the equipment and recording methods to the specific needs of a film set.
